HAZIQ's Morning: The exhilarating freshness of a perfect morning rose our spirits. We could not wait for the exciting day which would come the day after. We did our video project the day before that but that would be a different story...
(Haziq) I woke up that morning knowing that I would start off the day arriving school as early as everyone else. Unfortunately, I overslept and woke up at 8 which was the time to for us students to reach school. I thought that I was the only late-comer but two of my friends were late too.
We decided to take a cab or we will be an hour late. When we have reached Ubin, all the boys from our school were not at sight. I assumed that they have gone on without us. When we rented a bicycle each, Hamkha suddenly emerged infront of my face. I'm glad that he was patient enough to wait for me.

HAMKHA's Morning: The day started with waiting for the bus for around 45 minutes at school .
While I was queuing with my classmates I found out that my partner (Haziq) was nowhere to be found, i assumed that he went to Changi Ferry Terminal by himself so, i boarded the bus . The atmosphere in the bus was friendly and accommodating. I reached the Changi Ferry Terminal at 9.00 however, Haziq was still missing in action.I asked my friends whether they saw Haziq, I had a sigh of relief when Amrullah told me he was on his way.
As I was ecstatic to go to Pulau ubin, I went to the island without waiting for Haziq.

That is me enjoying the breeze

the entrance
As Ubin was not so far from Singapore it took only a few minutes to reach there.
The ride was very bumpy i think that's where it got its name from.
Ubin was far from what I've imagined. The Island was very pure with abandoned quarries and plantations, and untouched nature in general make it the last witness of the old Kampong. I felt like I just traveled back in time.

As Haziq was late,
I anxiously waited alone on an old rustic oak bench at the side of the entrance.
After 15 minutes of waiting and 1 hour of worrying, my cauliflower ed nose partner came.

while waiting for haziq, i took some pictures
for the blog.

So we rented two mountain bikes which cost us just $5 each.

our bikes

As we were left behind by the others we ask the villagers for directions. After traveling 3.2 km to the north
we finally caught up with them.
We were beaming until we were told that it was the WRONG beach
we were like -______-''.
Although we were at the wrong beach the beach were at was also dirty.

At that point our hearts were slamming against our ribs,
luckily, we were cooled down after our beloved Teacher Azam gave us Nasi Lemak from Afghanistan Stall.
Our spirits were magically lifted after eating, maybe because of the delicious food.
With the energy that the food has provided us, we cleaned the dirty beach.

Next, we went mountain biking at the trail to Chek jawa.
we had a boisterous time.
we raced on the trail fell numerous time, but still we had fun.
after dangerous slopes and holes, we finally made it to Chek jawa.

Haziq hurt himself during the mountain biking

Then, we rested at one of the hut there, and proceeded to the kiosk for directions. eventually, we went to the long jetty which is located at chek jawa shore.

beautiful scenery
relaxing at the jetty

after, relaxing, enjoying the breeze we decided to head to the jetty . So, we cycled back by taking a different route. While we were cycling back , we passed a breathtaking, huge cove.

By the time we reached the jetty, the whole secondary 4,5 and pre-u one had left us there, so we need to pay our ride back home which is $2.50 per person. As we were about to aboard the boat it started raining.
And we were soaking wet in the boat.

After all, we had a lot of fun.
we would not have the experience and and fun if its not for our teacher Mr Azam.
so,
THANK YOU TEACHER!!
